Local Authority Recycling Campaign

Facebook

In our 2021 Resident Survey, you told us that our old system of recycling was too restricted. And we agree with you. We believe the easier we make it to recycle, the more everyone will do their bit.

As a direct result of your feedback, we have invested in new and simpler ways for you to recycle household waste. We also promised our new scheme would be ready to roll out by the beginning of April as part of our Spring Clean Campaign.

We know that different homes have different storage room, so we have designed a scheme that best suits minimal storage without minimising the amount of recycling you can do.

Starting today, and over the next four weeks, every household will receive new recycling bags for cardboard, glass, plastics, and food waste. Your collection date will be on the same day of the week as normal, but recycling will now be weekly instead of fortnightly.

The new scheme will start from Monday 3 April.

Keep an eye out in the post for our leaflet which will describe the new scheme in greater detail, but, if like us you can’t wait to get started, check out the link here which has all the handy information you need to know.

We are a community together. Let's make this work together. Check out our link below for more details of the scheme and for handy tips on how we can all reduce our household waste.
